Emerging Dreamers Fellowship Program (Participation in a research grant or fellowship: 7 points) - Jordan Fischer

 

Being selected as an Emerging Dreamer through the Atlanta Dream’s Emerging Dreamer Fellowship has been an incredibly meaningful experience and an opportunity for me to grow as a leader. Through the fellowship, I have been able to develop my leadership skills while learning from inspiring women and leaders who are making an impact in their communities. One of the highlights so far was attending an Atlanta Dream game and being recognized on the court alongside the other Emerging Dreamers, which made me feel proud of the work I have done and the community I represent. I also had the opportunity to meet Bernice King, CEO of The King Center and daughter of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., which was especially meaningful because of her continued commitment to leadership, service, and social change. Experiences like these have reminded me of the importance of using my own leadership to create opportunities and make an impact beyond myself.
