Arianna Smith-Forte' - Volunteer Work Related to Career Goals (+3 Points) - Class of 2027

 I volunteer as a class facilitator with CodeHouse Prep, where I help high school students from under-resourced communities build tech skills and complete capstone projects that address real issues in their own communities. Seeing students grow from unsure to confident has been one of the most meaningful parts of my year, though meeting each student at their own level is a challenge. Explaining concepts like loops and functions to beginners has deepened my own understanding of my computer science coursework and connects to my goal of expanding access to tech through Girls Who Code. Helping students connect their code to problems in their own neighborhoods reminds me why I want to build technology that serves communities directly.
