Meeting with Potential Graduate School Advisors (Informational Interview - 4 points) Alyssa Amaker

 

    On Friday, June 26th at 10 AM, I met with Clemson University's Dr. D'Ondre Swails, a professor of history whose area of focus is in African American history since 1877 and American popular culture. We discussed Clemson's history master's and Ph.D programs, what they have to offer, and how I can contribute to the academic community there. I thoroughly enjoyed speaking with Dr. Swails because he is down to earth and willing to help first-generation students (like myself) navigate the graduate school application process. 

    I look forward to meeting with him again during the interview stage of the application process!
