Presenting a paper or poster at a conference (6 points)
This past Fall, I was fortunate to present my research at the Annual Biomedical Research Conference for Minoritized Scientists(ABRCMS) in San Antonio, TX. I presented my research on Activation Induced Marker Assays to detect immune responses in Lynch Syndrome-induced colorectal cancer. This research was a result of my 10-week immersive research experience at the University of Pennsylvania. This experience reaffirmed my dedication to Cancer Biology and increasing representation in STEM. I received valuable feedback from each judge and I look forward to applying these critiques in my future public speaking engagements. Aside from the actual presentation, I was able to network with other undergraduate researchers, graduate program representatives, and other conference attendees.
