Mariama Diallo Completing an Internship (5 points)

 

Through my internship with The George Walker Jr. Community Coalition, Inc., a nonprofit organization in Brooklyn, New York,  I got real exposure to what a professional environment actually looks like in a bigger organizational context—especially in terms of discipline, communication, and execution The strongest part of this experience was being able to see how the media I created and the events I proposed resulted in real and sustained impact in the community that I was a part of. At the same time, I do think It would have been nice to work with other interns given the sheer workload and being the only one in my department. Overall, this experience made me more aware of the level I need to operate at and pushed me to take my work more seriously in terms of consistency and execution.
