Presenting at a career-related workshop or conference - 5 points (C’O 2027)

 

I was able to attend the 12th Annual Health Professions Conference and serve as a moderator, assisting in presenting on, “From Spelman to Service: Alumnae Pathways in Healthcare”. I was able to work with Spelman alumni working in a variety of healthcare fields and facilitate the telling of their stories by asking questions surrounding their journey and emphasizing key takeaways for the audience. This session was focused on a larger theme of Equity and Health Disparities which is timely considering current apparent de-emphasis on equity, especially as it relates to science and healthcare.
