Slumber Party: Spelman and Morehouse HPSA First Year Gathering

The pajama party hosted by the Honors Program was an inviting and insightful event that exemplified the relationships between Spelman and Morehouse. We connected with many of our Morehouse Honors brothers, and I even convinced my Morehouse brother, Lyfe Smith, to attend. As we spend a large amount of our time with our Spelman honors cohort, in the dorms and in our classes, connecting with Morehouse students that we likely wouldn't have met was very important. 

The movie-and-pajama theme was beautifully put together, and I enjoyed relaxing amid the hectic year. Around this time, I felt very overwhelmed by many of my assignments and responsibilities, but being able to stop by and connect with people was an amazing break. While Spelman is an all-women's institution and many of us love connecting with our fellow sisters, the connection with the entire Atlanta University Consortium, AUC, is equally rewarding. I am excited to attend numerous other events hosted by the Honors Program throughout the school year.
