Collegiate 100 Interest Meeting (Attending a general interest conference/meeting) — Natalie Alexander (Class of 2029) 2 points
After seeing various social media posts and tabling about the organization Collegiate 100, I attended the interest meeting for the Spelman College chapter of Collegiate 100 to learn more about their mission and purpose. Spelman’s chapter is the only all-female collegiate chapter in the country with a dedication to leadership, service, and empowerment. The interest meeting detailed the various initiatives the organization engages in, the application timeline, and its components. After the meeting, I connected with multiple members on the executive board to learn more about the application process and any upcoming events or service opportunities I can attend. Later that week I attended their bi-monthly service initiative at B.E.S.T Academy to see first hand the work the organization engages in. I was thoroughly impressed to see how dedicated the club members are to the work they do which only strengthened my interest in applying for membership. I cannot wait to learn more about the Collegiate 100 throughout my time at Spelman and build stronger connections with their partnering organizations and other members of the organization.
