Ava Flanigan C/O '27 - Attending a general interest conference or workshop (3 pts)

 

This past weekend, I attended the annual National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) conference in Baltimore, Maryland. At the conference, I networked with top companies, such as Honeywell, Lenovo, Apple, and Morgan Stanley. I also heard from several peers who are doing powerful things in the STEM field. I was also able to spend time with members of the AUC NSBE chapter, seeing them grow professionally and attain new opportunities.

The conference allowed me to secure internship prospects for this summer and next summer and network with CEOs, Directors, and other top professionals in their respective fields. I love attending NSBE, and I look forward to attending the conference next year in Boston!
