"Smilin' Cuz I'm Black" (Creating an Original Artwork: 5 points) Janiah Collier

 I am someone who has always been interested in art since I was young. I started actually doing art when I was in kindergarten, and ever since then I have developed my skills in my own personal time. I am self-taught and so what comes with that is the creative freedom to discover my own style! After much time and thinking, I have decided I will start committing more time to developing my own art business called "Smilin' Cuz I'm Black" based on one of my past pieces I created in the Morehouse Parking Garage. Attached is one of my art pieces which is meant to represent the joys of Black culture and authentically being yourself. I will continue to work hard in my art to show the diversity of Black joy and culture. We as a people are not a monolith, and my art helps me to display this very thought!
