Attending performances (theater, musical, concerts, opera, dance): 2 points

I had the pleasure of going to a Ludovico Einaudi classical music concert at the Fox Theater. This activity contributed to my academic growth because it gave me a well-deserved break from classwork, graduate school applications, job applications, and my job. Being able to sit back, relax, and listen to the notes flow over me was therapeutic. After attending the concert, I was able to return to work with a clearer head and better flow. 

This activity taught me that it is imperative to take breaks and reward yourself throughout your life, especially when you work hard. I learned that after I rewarded myself with a concert, I could relax my mind, body, and soul, and, in turn, return to my work with a clearer mind.
