Attending the MLT Career Prep Fall Seminar was a focused and empowering professional development experience that strengthened my interviewing and networking skills. The seminar emphasized the importance of preparation, presence, and intentional storytelling, reinforcing that how you show up in professional spaces matters just as much as your technical abilities.
One of the most impactful parts of the experience was participating in a live session with industry professionals, including software engineers and product managers from TikTok. Engaging directly with professionals in different roles gave me valuable insight into career pathways within tech and highlighted the importance of adaptability, curiosity, and clear communication. Being active on camera and practicing my pitch pushed me to speak with greater confidence and clarity about my interests and goals.
Overall, the seminar aligned closely with the mission of Management Leadership for Tomorrow by encouraging intentional growth and self-awareness. I left the experience feeling more prepared to navigate future interviews and professional conversations, and more confident in my ability to represent myself authentically in competitive spaces.
