winning a local scholarship or award (4 points)

I was offered a scholarship from the Triangle Women in Golf Foundation, which is based in North Carolina, where I am from. Triangle Women in Golf is an organization created to o promote golf among  African American female golfers. This scholarship aids one student relief who have experience in golf and golf spaces. Collaborating with this foundation was an amazing experience to enhance my connections within the triangle, particularly with experienced Black women, and I learned there is something I can take away from all of those women! I connect this to my senior portfolio class in the idea of excelling in scholarship and using connections for continued mentorship.
