Presenting at a Conference ABRCMS (+6)- Nia Terry

In November 2025, I presented my research at the Annual Biomedical Research Conference for Minoritized Scientists. At this conference, I was able to provide insight into how current epigenetic measures are unable to diagnose neuropsychiatric disorders in African American brains. My research will be continued at Northwestern University this summer, where I have been offered the opportunity to lead other undergraduates in their research. During this trip, I was able to catch up with some of my cohort members from MIT and Northwestern. We discussed the work we've done, our graduate school applications and opportunities for future collaboration. Further, I was able to catch up with my mentor and principal investigator Dr. Benjamin and discuss future additions to the project. Overall, this experience was full of passion for science and networking and I was so blessed to be a part of it.
