Developing scholarship applications and essays(+4)

Over the winter break, I developed a new personal statement essay. This process not only allowed me to reflect on my College journey, but also to think about my future plans.  Exploring both the creative and technical sides of performance has reinforced my desire to inspire others to pursue their love for art and share untold stories. In the future, I hope to gather support for arts education and opportunities in underfunded areas; Eventually shaping the performing arts into a more inclusive and diverse field for all performers and their stories.   

    As I continue my studies, I aim to utilize my curiosity to connect with others through theatre, whether on stage as a performer or behind the scenes in technical production. I hope my work inspires people to fall in love with the arts and think critically about the world around them, while also supporting spaces where diverse stories and voices can be shared. Access to the arts is a privilege, and my goal is to help shape the arts into an inclusive and accessible field while pursuing a career in both technical and performance theatre.
