Competing and volunteering Within Golf: Chloe Billingslea (5-7 points)

I competed and volunteered at the Atlanta Solheim Cup with my group of golf sisters and had an amazing experience. Inspired by the Solheim Cup, this event featured young ladies from the Allanta area competing in a USA verses Europe style format. Outside of the friendly competition itself, the event not only had a sense of community, but empowerment as well. Golfing alongside my fellow young ladies who also share my passion for golf was inspiring and reinforced the importance of Black women representation within this sport. This experience enhanced my skills on the green, but also reminded me of the power of collaboration in our community. The characteristics of confidence and resilience that can also be found in golf, are qualities that we should make every effort to extend into our everyday lives.
