Attending Honors Program Events: Holiday Party (2 points) Co' 29
Attending the Honors Program holiday party with my friends was a great way to end the semester before finals and head home for Christmas break. After weeks of focusing on classes and assignments, it felt good to step away from schoolwork and just enjoy the moment.
The party created a relaxed and welcoming space where we could have fun and connect outside of an academic setting. The Christmas activities brought a lot of laughter and energy, making the party feel festive and light. It was nice to spend quality time with friends, talk freely, and enjoy being together without the pressure of deadlines.
My favorite part of the event was winning musical chairs. The game quickly became competitive in a fun way, and I was excited to walk away with an Honors Program quarter zip. It was a small but memorable highlight that made the experience even more enjoyable.
More than anything, the party served as a chance to recharge before the busy finals period and the transition into winter break. Taking time to relax and have fun helped clear my mind and reset my focus. It reminded me how important community is, especially during stressful times throughout the semester, specifically completing my first semester as a freshman.
After attending that party, I became more inclined to be at more honors program events and encouraged my friends to come along. It was a great way to connect with my sisters and the directors of the honors program outside of academics.
