A Very Githii Holiday Christmas Party (3 points) - Kenzie Moore (Class of 2028)

I had the wonderful opportunity to attend A Very Githii Holiday Christmas Party with my Honors Sisters, and it was a meaningful way to embrace the holiday spirit while taking a moment to unwind before finals. The event created a welcoming and joyful space that reminded me of the importance of rest, balance, and community within the Honors Program.

Throughout the evening, I enjoyed making ornaments, watching holiday movies, and spending quality time with my Spelman Honors Sisters. These shared activities fostered connection and camaraderie, reinforcing the strong sense of sisterhood that defines the Ethel Waddell Githii Honors Program. One of the highlights of the night was the Soul Train dance line with Dr. Cooke and the Honors Executive Board, which brought laughter, energy, and a sense of togetherness to the celebration.

This event reminded me that intellectual excellence is strengthened by moments of joy and community. As we prepared to enter finals season, A Very Githii Holiday served as a meaningful reminder that support, celebration, and sisterhood are just as essential to success as academic rigor.
