Mental Health Chat
During the mental health chat, we discussed managing burnout, seasonal depression, and the stress of finals season. I shared openly that I had been feeling burned out and hearing that many others felt similarly helped me recognize the importance of collective care and seeking support when needed. This discussion strengthened my Epistemic Humility, reminding me that even as someone who has taken time to educate myself on mental health and peer support, I am not exempt from its challenges. It also supported my Curated Inwardness, helping me reconnect with my emotional and mental needs instead of pushing past them. The session deepened my understanding of healthier coping mechanisms and the importance of fueling myself and my well-being. It reminded me that academic success and self care should not be competing with one another but are dependent on each other.
