Christian Scott- Attending professional networking events ( 3pts.) : Went to Morehouse School of Medicine's Open House

Here I am pictured to the right of Dr. Geary from Morehouse School of Medicine. At this event, I was able to network with professionals, learn about possible opportunities as a future medical student at the institution and current college students. I was able to speak with various representatives including those for their Student Government Association who connected me with a resident in my speciality of interest. I also spoke with leaders for their undergraduate summer programs, so I could be aware of the possible opportunities to gain more exposure in the medical field. This reinforced the importance of early preparation and being engaged outside the classroom. A particularly impactful aspect of this experience was that opportunity to network with a current medical student at the institution. Through our conversation, I gained perspective on the transition from undergraduate education to medical school. This interaction emphasized the value of mentorship and peer guidance in navigating academic and professional endeavors.
