Christina Simone Coker (Class Of 2029) — Power In The Bookshelves (Recieving A Library Card, 1 Point)

Getting my library card reminded me how powerful access to knowledge can be. Having a tangible card reminds me of the power in the bookshelves. What seemed like a small piece of plastic on the back of my Spelman ID opened doors to endless books, databases, and quiet spaces to think. It connected to my curiosity in biology and social issues. Which in turn reaffirmed my belief that learning doesn’t always require a classroom. This experience deepened my appreciation for public resources and motivates me to keep exploring, reading, and sharing what I learn with others.

Authentically,

Christina Simone Coker
