Vice President of FBLS
As the Vice President for Future Business Leaders of Spelman, I have the privilege of serving a 120-member organization dedicated to empowering women of color at Spelman College who are passionate about the corporate world, business, and entrepreneurship. In this leadership role, I assist the President with executing key initiatives that align with our mission to prepare members for professional excellence. I also take charge of organizing general body meetings, developing engaging slide presentations, and managing the Executive Board calendar to ensure our operations run smoothly and efficiently.
Beyond logistical support, I play a vital role in fostering collaboration and accountability within the organization. I coordinate board meetings where strategic decisions are made and ensure that each session is purposeful and productive. This experience has strengthened my ability to communicate effectively, plan ahead, and manage multiple priorities—all essential skills for leadership in any business setting.
In addition to these responsibilities, I oversee the Treasurer, Community Service Chair, and Interns to ensure they meet their goals and uphold our organization’s standards. I provide guidance and mentorship to help them navigate challenges and grow in their roles, reinforcing a culture of support and empowerment. Through this position, I have gained invaluable experience in leadership, teamwork, and organizational management—skills that I will continue to carry forward in my academic and professional journey.
