Tina: The Tina Turner Musical (Cultural Expansion: Attending performances) (Class of 2028)

 

Over the summer I had the opportunity to go see Tina: The Tina Turner Musical. This was a very powerful theatrical production that celebrated the life of an iconic musical figure. The show told a story of Tina Turner’s resilience, self-discovery, and empowerment through challenges and hardships. Watching this musical reminded me of the importance of perseverance and staying true to yourself. There will always be challenges and obstacles in life, but the important part is how you overcome them and push through. This also helped remind me how art can be used as expression, entertainment, and to teach life lessons. Overall I thought this was a great experience and it allowed me to have takeaways that I can apply to life, especially as a college student.
