Neriah Carson- Winning a local scholarship or award: 4 points

     On July 30th, 2025, I was honored to receive a scholarship from the General Board of Higher Education and Ministry of the United Methodist Church. This award recognized my beliefs, ministry, and commitment to faith within the Methodist Church. Being acknowledged in this way reinforced the value of dedicating myself to spiritual growth and service within my community. Receiving this scholarship encouraged me to reflect on the ways my faith has shaped both my personal and academic journey. It reminded me that leadership and service are not only about achievements but about consistently living out the values you believe in. This recognition motivates me to continue deepening my engagement in ministry while inspiring others to embrace their faith with intentionality and purpose. This experience reaffirmed that dedication, authenticity, and perseverance in your passions—spiritual, academic, or professional—can open doors you might not have anticipated. I am truly grateful to the United Methodist Church for this honor and for affirming my commitment to using my faith to impact my community positively.
