Natalia Del Pino - Leadership role in an academic organization (+3 points)
This academic year, I was selected to serve as a co-training coordinator for the Spelman College Ambassadors, the official student representatives of the college. In this leadership role, I help oversee the training and professional development of ambassadors to ensure that every campus tour reflects Spelman’s values of excellence, sisterhood, and service. I am responsible for developing new training materials, conducting refresher sessions, and performing quality control checks to maintain a high standard of campus representation.
In addition to training responsibilities, I host weekly outings that promote community building and reinforce professionalism within the ambassador team. These outings serve as opportunities for team bonding, leadership growth, and continued learning about the college’s history and culture. Working closely with our advisors, I help coordinate schedules, evaluate tour performance, and ensure that ambassadors feel confident and supported in their roles.
Serving as Co-Training Coordinator has strengthened my skills in communication, organization, and mentorship. This experience has taught me the importance of collaboration and accountability in leadership, while deepening my pride in representing Spelman College with authenticity and enthusiasm. I look forward to continuing to enhance the ambassador program and contribute to a welcoming and informative experience for all visitors to our campus.
