Leadership role in an academic organization (3 points)
I assumed the position of President for the Girls Who Code (GWC) Spelman Loop this school year. I have had the pleasure of reviving the chapter on Spelman Campus and making it a space for Black Women in tech to succeeded. As President of the Girls Who Code Spelman Loop, my goals that I continue to strive to complete are to build a simple, repeatable learning system, quarterly roadmaps, facilitator guides. design beginner-safe, growth-ready workshops that use micro-builds and peer mentors. Additionally, being able to measure success of the chapter by artifacts and return attendance rather than headcount. I lead by setting clear goals, asking for straightforward feedback, and naming risks early. I treat inclusion as a core rule that makes our work stronger. My goals: help members make first commits and deploys, improve interview prep, and build chapter systems that last.
