As the Girls Who Lead Spelman Chapter External Vice President, I lead an organized a workshop where students created post cards to send to send to Black voters in Virginia to influence them to vote in the November 4th election. This was a great opportunity to grow my leadership and event planning skills. We were able to create 150 post cards to send to voters. One thing I learned through planning this event is to always make sure that everything is in place well before the event. This helped it run smoothly and successfully.
