Grier Francis - Completed An Internship

This summer, I had the opportunity to work with the Prevention Research Center at Morehouse School of Medicine on their CDC-funded REACH Project, which focuses on reducing health disparities among ethnic populations affected by chronic diseases. My work centered around conducting a menu analysis for Spelman College and Morehouse College, as well as developing an implementation action plan. This included exploring how students make food choices through behavioral design, stakeholder engagement, and evaluation + analysis practices. Since last year, I’ve developed a strong interest in public health, and this experience affirmed my passion; it was incredibly rewarding, and I found myself just as excited about public health as I am about medicine!
