Goldman Sachs (completing a paid internship (4-6 points)) - Havelin Autry
As an Asset & Wealth Management Summer Analyst at Goldman Sachs, I had the opportunity to immerse myself in a fast-paced, high-performing environment that demanded excellence and precision every day. I worked on projects that required me to analyze market data, support client deliverables, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify growth opportunities within the firm’s investment strategies. What made this experience so transformative was the challenge of finding my voice and confidence in spaces where very few people looked like me.
Being a Black woman in a predominantly white, male space pushed me to redefine what belonging looks like. I learned that representation is more than just being in the room, it’s about showing up authentically, asking the hard questions, and creating space for others to do the same. While there were moments of discomfort, they fueled my resilience and sharpened my ability to adapt, advocate, and lead. This internship reminded me that excellence and authenticity can coexist, and that my perspective is not only valuable but necessary.
