Completing an Internship

During my internship at the Morehouse School of Medicine along with UAB, I had the opportunity to conduct research focused on Alzheimer’s disease across different communities, exploring how socioeconomic and environmental factors contribute to disparities in diagnosis and treatment. Through this experience, I gained valuable insight into the process of scientific writing, from formulating research questions and analyzing data to presenting findings in a professional, evidence-based manner. Working alongside mentors and medical researchers gave me a clearer understanding of the academic and clinical steps required to pursue my future in medicine, particularly in the field of neuro-oncology. This internship not only strengthened my research and writing skills but also deepened my passion for addressing health inequities through science and compassionate care.
