Completing an Internship 5pts

This summer, I completed an internship program called Girls Who Invest. This two-part internship consisted of four weeks of financial training at the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, followed by an eight week internship at Brookfield Asset Management in New York City. While at Brookfield, I collaborated with a 10-person portfolio management team overseeing a $100B+ portfolio of insurance company assets, drafted investment committee memos and synthesized data on invested capital and origination targets. I also allocated assets across 12 client accounts in both public and private markets, assessed opportunities in private credit, private equity, real estate, and infrastructure to optimize portfolio performance, created manuals for complex pricing models and surveyed potential M&A targets, streamlined evaluation processes and contributing to investment recommendations presented to senior leadership.
