On October 1st, I met with my department chair Dr. Patricia Ventura. We met in her office (Cosby 307) to discuss my plans to graduate in May, what my next semester would look like, and how it aligned with my plans for the future in terms of career and further schooling. This was a very useful meeting for me and it helped me solidify my thoughts and plans for many things such as my spring schedule, completion of honors requirements, people to find for further discussion on my plans, and more. I was thrilled to see some of the classes I'd hoped to take are being offered in the spring and, while I had to pick some substitutions for others, I'm satisfied with my planned schedule for next semester. This meeting also made me realize that I need to meet with advisors and higher ups in my department more often. This is something Dr. Rudewalker emphasizes in my Senior Workshop class, but I hope to truly put that advice into practice now.
