Attending a conference or workshop: 3 points

 Last Friday, I attended the Lunchtime Panel as part of Morehouse Journalism Week. The journalists on the panel had diverse experiences ranging from Black pop culture to food and music to politics to sports. They provided incredible insight about following your passions and maintaining your integrity and values as a young journalist in a challenging media landscape (more AI, increased censorship under the current presidential administration, etc.). I also gained a few great connections and advice for post-graduate fellowships and internships that might be helpful for me as I transition out of Spelman. I look forward to building these connections and continuing to attend events by the MH journalism department. -by Nila Roper
